University professor for the field of Electrical Engineering

At the Montanuniversität Leoben, the position of a university professor at the Institute for Electrical Engineering is to be filled as a half-time employment relationship under private law with the Montanuniversität Leoben with the Salaried Employees Act (Angestelltengesetz) for a period of two years.

We are looking for a personality of scientific international standing with a research focus in one or more of the following areas:

➢ the measurement of electrical and non-electrical quantities

➢ the system theory

➢ the basics and theory of electrical engineering

➢ electrical and electronic circuitry

In teaching, courses on electrical engineering are to be held in the bachelor and master degree programs. Supervision of bachelor and master theses as well as dissertations is expected.

The requirements for employment are a domestic or equivalent foreign university degree appropriate to the position, a relevant doctorate and habilitation or an academic qualification of equal value. Further requirements are the pedagogical and didactic aptitude including new methods in teaching, the qualification as a manager, as well as the command of the German and English language.

Experience in acquiring and implementing funded research projects on a national and international level with scientific and industrial cooperation partners is of great importance. The application of funded research projects is expected.
