At the Montanuniversität Leoben, the position of a university professor at the Department of Metallurgy is to be filled as a with a five-year employment contract under private law with the Montanuniversität Leoben per the Salaried Employees Act (Angestelltengesetz) with full employment.

We are looking for a personality of international scientific standing, whose research focus is on the modelling and simulation of metallurgical solidification processes.

In teaching, courses on modelling and simulation of solidification processes in metal production and processing are to be held in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes. Supervision of bachelor's and master's theses, as well as dissertations, is expected.

The requirements for employment are a domestic or equivalent foreign university degree appropriate to the position, a relevant doctorate, and habilitation or academic qualification of equal value. Further requirements are the pedagogical and didactic aptitude, including new methods in teaching, the qualification as a manager, and the command of the German and English language.

Experience in acquiring and implementing funded research projects on a national and international level with scientific and industrial cooperation partners is of great importance. The application of funded research projects is expected.
