We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 66,532.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.

Skills/Qualifications
  • Completed doctoral studies in philosophy with a dissertation preferably in the fields of phenomenology, (meta-)ethics, value theory, aesthetics, philosophy of mind or epistemology
  • Existing research work (publications, lectures, etc.), preferably with a focus on the above-mentioned fields of philosophical research 
  • Experience with topics in the core topic of perception: episteme, aesthetics, politics 
  • International experience 
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Willingness and enjoyment of interdisciplinary work
  • High personal motivation and academic curiosity
  • Independent and goal-oriented way of working
  • Relevant (online) teaching experience in own subject desirable
  • Ability to work in a team in philosophical and interdisciplinary contexts
  • Experience in or participation in the acquisition and processing of (national and international) third-party funded projects (desirable)
  • Very good communication and organizational skills
  • Social competence and enjoyment in dealing with students

Eligibility criteria
  • Independent philosophical research and publication activities with thematic relevance to the core topic Perception: Episteme, Aesthetics, Politics at the Faculty of Humanities (see https://gewi.uni-graz.at/en/research/perception-episteme-aesthetics-politics/ )
  • Collaboration in the conception and acquisition of (in particular interdisciplinary) third-party funded projects (in cooperation with the members of the core topic)
  • Possibility to work on a habilitation project
  • Initiation, development, and fostering of national and international networks, especially with the aim of developing networks for the core topic
  • Independent teaching of courses and examinations in BA, MA, and teacher training curricula
  • Student supervision
  • Collaboration on organizational, communication and science-to-public activities as well as evaluation measures
