We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 60,926.60 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.

Organisational Unit

The Institute's research and teaching focuses on educational processes across the entire lifespan against the backdrop of social transition, focusing on the living and learning environments of children, adolescents and adults at different ages, which are analyzed from educational science perspectives. • Completed doctorate/PhD in the area of educational science with a focus on adult and continuing education
• Relevant publication and research experience
• Profound knowledge and understanding of the links between social development, education and adult and continuing education
• Knowledge of structures and developments in adult and continuing education, in particular the interfaces between research and practice
• Experience in participating in project applications and/or project implementation
• Relevant teaching experience at university level and at digital teaching
• Excellent written and spoken knowledge of the following languages: German and English
• High level of commitment and motivation for scientific work
• High degree of personal responsibility and ability to cooperate
• Good communication and organizational skills

Additional Information
Eligibility criteria

• Autonomous research, publication and lecture activities in the field of adult and continuing education with one of the following focal points: current concepts of adult and continuing education, teaching and learning with adults, didactic settings in the context of lifelong learning
• Conception and implementation of independent research projects and participation in raising the necessary third-party funds
• Teaching of courses and conducting of examinations in the field of Bachelor's degree program in Educational Science and the Master's degree program in Adult and Continuing Education
• Assisting with and possibly independently supervising final theses, advision and supervision of students
• Participation in the organization of various event formats as well as in the public relations work of the institute of Educational Science
