Specific Requirements

Your personal sphere of influence:

As a university assistant prae doc, you will complement/complete the research team around Henning Schluß and take over tasks like participation in the application for research projects/conferences and scientific consultations. The focus of our research is ethical/religious and general educational research and theory. Our Team in the working-unit educational research and theory currently consists of 2 prae docs, a project employee and administrative colleagues. What makes us special as a team is collegial, appreciative working relationship; what is particularly important to us is the freedom and internationality of research and teaching.

Your future tasks:

You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:

• You participate in research projects and scientific studies in the area of religious and ethical educational theory and research.
• In case of contract extension, we expect you to complete your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
• You work on your dissertation and its completion.
• You hold courses independently within the scope of the collective agreement provisions.
• You take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.

This is part of your personality:

• Completed Master's degree or Diploma, in the field of education
• Basic experience in academic writing and with textanalytical research methods
• Didactic competences / experience with e-learning
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and another language
• IT user skills: e.g. office, moodle
• Desireable knowledge in ethical questions
• You should be a team player with high social skills
• Teaching practice at school is also desirable.
