The Department of Economics and Social Sciences, Institute for Sustainable Economic Development is currently seeking a Postgraduate Research Associate (temporary replacement).

The successful candidate will be working in the Institute for Sustainable Economic Development within the Research Unit of Agriculture / Environment. The candidate will conduct research on efficiency and productivity of firms in the agricultural/food sector and/or agricultural land markets. In addition she/he will help in teaching classes provide assistance to students and contribute to organizational and administrative tasks of the unit.

Successful candidates for this position will have a master degree in economics, agricultural economics or comparable programs. Strong analytical skills especially in microeconomics (e.g. industrial organization, production economics), experience with quantitative research methods (econometrics) and proven interest in relevant topics (agriculture and food sector) are expected. Excellent command of the German and English language are expected.

Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1, € 2.005,20
