The University of Vienna announces the opening of two prae-doc positions in the the Vienna Graduate School of Economics (VGSE). VGSE is located at the University of Vienna and offers a broad three-year PhD program in economics focusing on specialized field courses, research seminars, and intensively supervised research time. The program is entirely run in English.

Extent of Employment: 30 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement : §48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.
Job Description:
As PhD student in Economics at the University of Vienna where you will work on research in Public Finance or Macroeconomics You may be called upon teaching to the extent of the regulations of the collective bargaining agreement.

Profile:
1) Admission to the PhD Program and acceptance to the VGSE Program.
2) Successful first year presentation.
3) Signed dissertation agreement.
4) Ability to integrate and work with fellow researchers. Be an active contributor to the working and research environment at VGSE. Very good presentation skills and ability to communicate ideas in a structured way.
6) Research proposal in one of the special research fields public finance and/or macroeconomics.
