General Description:

The Faculty of Psychology at the University of Vienna comprises four departments. The new Professorship of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology is assigned to the Department for Clinical and Health Psychology. Our research group investigates family risk and protective factors for mental disorders in children and adolescents in basic and applied research. The methodological focal points include ambulatory assessment as well as behavioural observation of family interactions. We offer excellent working opportunities with the possibility of a PhD under good supervision, a young and motivated work team as well as international collaborations and intensive promotion of young scientists.

The employment is initially limited to 1,5 years and is automatically extended to a total of 4 years, unless the employer submits a declaration of non-renewal within 12 months.

As part of the establishment of the new Professorship of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, we announce two positions of university assistants ("prae doc") to work on the central topics of the research group. The main emphasis of the positions is on the completion of a cumulative dissertation in the research area of the working group. We expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months.

Your tasks include
Planning and execution of empirical studies

Advanced statistical analysis (multilevel analysis, structural equation models, etc.)

Publication of research results in international scientific journals

Active participation in national and international conferences

If necessary, participation in the acquisition of third-party funds for new research projects

Participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement

Supervision of students
