University Assistant (prae doc)

The chair of Prof. Reindl-Krauskopf is an autonomous organisational unit within the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology und focusses – as well through the research center „ALES – Austrian Center for Law Enforcement Sciences“ – primarily on criminal procedural law and police sciences as well as selected areas of law relating to economic crimes. As staff member you will actively contribute to the implementation of the strategy of the chair and of ALES and after a period of initial training you will work indepently and comprehensively being responsible for results in all areas of research and teaching of criminal substantial and procedural law.
The advertisement is for 4 years, whereby the employment relationship is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of 4 years unless the employer submits a non-extension declaration after a maximum of 12 months.

Your task is collaboration in research and teaching. This includes especially the support of students, the participation in correcting exams, in organizational matters (also concerning seminars and other lectures), in research relating to various research projects and in the activities of ALES as well as participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement. We expect the sucessful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months. Your task is collaboration in research and teaching.
