The chair of Prof. Zerbes is an autonomous organisational unit within the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology und focusses primarily on criminal law, criminal procedural law as well as on the basic principles and human rights concerning criminal law, selected areas of economic criminal law, european and international criminal law and comparative criminal law. As staff member you will actively contribute to the implementation of the strategy of the chair and after a period of initial training you will work independently and comprehensively being responsible for results in all areas of research and teaching of criminal substantial and procedural law.

The advertisement is for 3 years, whereby the employment relationship is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of 3 years unless the employer submits a non-extension declaration after a maximum of 12 months.

Your task as an university assistant (prae doc) is collaboration in research and teaching. This includes especially the support of students, the participation in correcting exams, in organizational matters (also concerning seminars and other lectures), in research relating to various research projects and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement. We expect the sucessful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months. Your task as an university assistant (prae doc) is collaboration in research and teaching.
