University Assistant (postdoc)

In this position you will carry out high level research and specialise in a particular field. You will hold your own lectures, tutor students and participate in administration. PhD in Microbiology, Biology, Phytopathology or related discipline PostDoc or relevant work experience Experience in participating in third party funding and publications in relevant Journals in the field.  Experience in working with Host-Parasite interactions specifically eukaryote pathogens (e.g. Phytomyxea, Oomycetes). Knowledge about taxonomy and biodiversity of eukaryote pathogens. Experience with microscopy and image analysis, phylogeny, RNAseq and cultivation of biotrophic host-pathogen systems. Experience in the supervision of students and teaching experience is beneficial. Track record of international collaborations is beneficial Command of the German language or willingness to acquire German in a reasonable time
