Job profile:

University Assistant - Postdoc (40 hours/week, substitute), Institute of Biochemistry from 15/01/2021 to 28/11/2025, but no longer than until the return of the position holder. Main Duties: Independent research activity in the field of signal transduction of the PI3K-mTOR network; Independent teaching of courses and holding of exams; Supervision of students incl. supervision of bachelor theses; Assumption of research, teaching and management tasks. Required qualifications: Degree in natural sciences (Ph.D. or Dr.rer.nat. in biology/chemistry); long-term experience in the field of metabolic signal transduction, mass spectrometric proteome analysis (LFQ, SILAC, TMT, phosphoproteomics) and bioinformatic analysis of differential proteome data (MaxQuant, R); protein biochemical knowledge (e.g. Immunoprecipitation, SDS-PAGE); experience in biochemical assay development, with focus on kinase assays; knowledge of mass spectrometry for targeted protein quantification (PRM) desirable; proficiency in written and spoken English, as evidenced by own publications as well as relevant international experience of several years in a scientific environment; communication skills and ability to work in a team, as evidenced by co-supervision of successful Bachelor/Master theses.
