University Assistant (post doc)

At the Faculty Center of transdisciplinary historical and cultural Studies, the position of a post-doctoral university assistant for the field of "Cultural Heritage" (Supervision: Prof. Dr. Noémie Etienne) is to be filled.

We address critically topics related to art and material culture, architecture, history, memory, immaterial and material heritage, landscape, and ecology, including questions about museums, representation, or coloniality and its impact today. Other areas of study may include (but are not limited to) the history of collecting, the restitution of looted art, provenance, display, and conservation. A broad chronological scope is possible, from pre-modern to contemporary times, with no limitation on period or geography.

Active participation in research, teaching and administration. This includes:

- Developing and strengthening an academic research profile
- Participation in research projects
- Participation in organisation of conferences, meetings, symposiums
- Participation in project applications and external fundraising
- Preparation/completion of a habilitation/second book
- Teaching assignments according to the extent regulated by the collective agreement
- Examination activities
- Supervison of students
- Participation in evaluation activities and in quality assurance
