Skills/Qualifications

Applicants must have completed a PhD in Economics. Expertise in Public Economics and the ability to teach in our MA program Philosophy and Economics is required. We also expect the candidate to participate actively in the organization of the program Philosophy and Economics. Knowledge of German is an asset, but not required.

Applications should include a curriculum vitae detailing the candidate’s education, teaching experience, list of publications, and a letter of motivation. Applicants are also required to submit a cover letter that includes a statement on why they are interested in working in the Department of Economics at the University of Vienna and up to two selected papers.
