At the Faculty of Psychology at our location in the centre of Vienna we are looking for a committed research assistant as


University Assistant (post-doc) / Assistant Professor (tenure track) in Clinical Psychology and Health Psychology (m/f/d)

As part of the international, English degree program in psychology, a researcher position is available (100%). The appointment is initially at university assistant level (post-doc) and is supposed to transition into an assistant professor appointment after the first year (tenure track, based on a qualification agreement). Applications are welcome until May 15, 2024 for starting in July 2024. This is a fixed-term position for six years.

Your tasks

You will be part of the teaching and research activities of Sigmund Freud University. Your responsibilities include:

  • Academic teaching in English in clinical psychology, health psychology and/or psychological diagnostics in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in psychology
  • Supervision and assessment of final theses (Bachelor’s and Master’s)
  • Independent research and publication activities
  • Organizational tasks in the administration and development of the international degree programs in psychology, especially in the Master’s emphasis Clinical Psychology and Public Mental Health
  • Further development of existing collaborations with other faculties and the SFU psychological outpatient clinic
  • Third mission activities

Your profile

  • Demonstrated expertise in the field of clinical psychology and health psychology and/or psychological diagnostics
  • A relevant doctoral degree in one of the above-mentioned fields
  • International experience and/or experience in working with international students
  • Research experience in relevant project work and independent publication activity
  • Excellent English skills at (near) native speaker level
  • Openness to work with international partner organizations

Payment

An annual gross salary of the salary group university assistant (post-doc) is at least EUR 56.000,- for 40 hours per week. Previous periods of earnings can be taken into account as part of the initial salary classification.
