Tenure-Track Professorship

for the field of

Structural Biology

(full-time position) is to be filled.

We are seeking an outstanding scientist to establish an internationally competitive research group in the field of ‘Structural Biology’. The candidate is expected to establish an innovative and original research program addressing fundamental biological questions, in line with the institute’s mission to analyze & reconstitute complex biological processes across different scales. Structural biology is broadly interpreted to range from the prediction or experimental determination of macromolecular structure to the quantitative and mechanistic study of biological assemblies, machines, or processes.

The position will be located at the Max Perutz Labs (https://www.maxperutzlabs.ac.at/ ), a joint venture of the University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna with the mission to catalyze fundamental discoveries in Mechanistic Biomedicine. The Max Perutz Labs provide access to state-of-the-art facilities and is located at the Vienna BioCenter, a leading center for the molecular life sciences in Europe.
