At the Centre for Molecular Biology of the University of Vienna (Max Perutz Labs) the position of a

Tenure-Track Professorship

for the field of

Mechanistic Cell Biology

(full-time position) is to be filled.

We are seeking an outstanding scientist to establish an internationally competitive research group in the field of ‘Mechanistic Cell Biology’. The candidate is expected to establish an innovative and original research program addressing fundamental questions in cell biology, in line with the institute’s mission to analyze & reconstitute complex biological processes across different scales. The term cell biology is broadly interpreted to range from the analysis of intracellular complexes and organelles to single cells, cell-cell interactions and tissue organization.

The position will be located at the Max Perutz Labs (https://www.maxperutzlabs.ac.at/ ), a joint venture of the University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna with the mission to catalyze fundamental discoveries in Mechanistic Biomedicine. The aim of the institute is to analyze & reconstitute complex biological processes across different scales. The Max Perutz Labs provides access to state-of-the-art facilities and is located at the Vienna BioCenter, a leading center for the molecular life sciences in Europe.
