We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 60,926.60 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications
- Completed doctorate in biostatistics, bioinformatics, molecular biology, or a related field
- Extensive experience in applying statistical methods in the life sciences
- Strong expertise in the analysis of NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) data, including genomics and transcriptomics
- Experience working with large datasets and knowledge of data processing and analysis
- Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
- Record of publications in relevant fields
- Experience in the statistical analysis and visualization of complex data, e.g., using R, Python, or SPSS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage projects
- High degree of creativity and innovation

Additional Information
Eligibility criteria
- Consultation and support in experimental design (e.g., a priori power analysis), data analysis, and result presentation in various research areas
- Development and implementation of statistical methods and models for the analysis of data from genomics, metabolomics, transcriptomics, metagenomics, and related fields
- Bioinformatic support in the preparation of data from genomics, metabolomics, transcriptomics, and metagenomics
- Collaboration with and training of researchers from different disciplines in the interpretation of complex datasets, especially in the areas of metabolomics, comparative genomics, and ecological studies
- Guidance of interdisciplinary projects and promotion of collaboration between institutes
- Conception and implementation of independent research projects and acquisition of the necessary third-party funding (desirable)
- Involvement in teaching within the curricula of studies, especially in jointly conducted courses in microbiology/molecular biology/biochemistry; biology (Bachelor, Master, Doctorate)
- Participation in organizational and administrative tasks, as well as in evaluation measures
