Job profile:

Senior Scientist (40 hours/week), Institute of Geology, starting date January 1, 2023; Main duties: development of standard operating procedures for the new U-Th dating laboratory; scientific supervision and management of the laboratory and its users; independent project-oriented research; independent teaching; supervision of Bachelor and Master theses; academic self-administration; continuing education. Required qualifications:completed doctoral studies in a natural science subject; everal years of work experience in a trace-metal clean laboratory (preferably U-Th); expertise in operating and maintaining a multi-collector ICP-MS instrument (preferably Neptune); relevant publications in international peer-reviewed journals; experience in the study of terrestrial or marine climate archives (preferably speleothems) is advantageous; creative problem-solving skills; ability to work independently; teamwork and communication skills; excellent cooperation in project groups; very good knowledge of English.
