Offer Description
  • Independent teaching and examination activities or supervision of students in the subjects of vocal training/voice in the fields of choral conducting, orchestral conducting, opera accompaniment, composition and sound engineering studies. 
  • Representation of the subject of singing in the development of the arts at the institute.
  • Collaboration in organisational, administrative and evaluation tasks.

Salary: According to the Austrian collective agreement, the monthly gross pay is a minimum of €3.578,80 (14 times/year). In the case of previous work experience a starting salary of max. € 4,242.60 is possible.

  • A domestic or equivalent foreign university degree appropriate to the position or an equivalent artistic aptitude.
  • Outstanding artistic qualifications in the subject to be filled.
  • Pedagogical and didactic experience in the field of training or further education.

Specific Requirements
  • Artistic profile as a concert or opera singer.
  • Qualified experience in voice teaching at various levels of training, from beginners to very advanced voices.
  • Extensive knowledge of vocal repertoire from all stylistic periods, including choral and orchestral literature.
  • Good knowledge of vocal physiology.
  • Practical accompaniment skills on the piano.
  • Affinity with the conducting and compositional working environment.
  • Particular openness towards the cultural diversity of students and sensitivity to diversity.
  • Willingness to work in a team.
