The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry invites applications for a predoc position. The candidate should have an excellent track record in Biochemistry or Biotechnology to conduct current research projects.

The employment relationship is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of 4 years, unless the employer submits a declaration of non-renewal after a maximum of 12 months.

The research group has recently discovered a novel platform technology for the targeted delivery of lipid nanoparticles to immune cells and is currently extending its scope to platelets. For this purpose, biophysical methods are used to identify new ligands for immune cell receptors which are further developed in collaboration with a research group focusing on organic synthesis. These ligands will then be further investigated in cell-based assays. Knowledge of protein expression and purification, as well as basic cell culture work is required. An enthusiasm to get involved in the topic of biophysical screening and characterization of protein-ligand complexes is desired.
