Research Technician Biology - High Throughput Screening - HTS (m/f/d)

QUANTRO Therapeutics is a visionary and dynamic Vienna-based start-up company that strives to establish a novel class of effective therapeutics interfering with disease-causing transcriptional programs in cancer and other diseases.

At our R&D labs and company headquarter at the Vienna BioCenter Campus we currently have twoopenings for RESEARCH TECHNICIAN BIOLOGY – High Throughput Screening - HTS (M/F/D).


The position can be filled immediately and comprises of the following tasks and responsibilities:
  • Perform standard molecular biology techniques, mammalian cell culture and cell- based assays;
  • Perform High-Throughput Phenotypic Screenings of chemical compounds libraries;
  • Operate and maintain automated liquid-handlers and other integrated robotic equipments;
  • Assist in characterization of bioactive compounds from different screens using genomics, proteomics and biochemical approaches;
  • Provide highly accurate and precise records of all work processes and results in compliance with industrial documentation standards;
  • Ensure optimal laboratory and equipment conditions while actively contributing to organizational tasks.

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications and experiences:
  • BSc or MSc degree with >2 years of relevant practical lab experience in molecular biology (qPCR, DNA cloning..) and cell culture techniques;
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to accurately complete detailed work;
  • A detail-oriented mind for optimizing assays and generating high quality data;
  • The ability to multi-task and work under time pressure on multiple projects;
  • The ability to work effectively in a team within a multi-disciplinary environment;
  • Excellent communication skills with fluent command of English (oral/written).

Experience with Assay Development, High Throughput Screenings and lab automation will be an advantage.
