Research Engineer (m/f/d) Green Hydrogen Technologies

IMAGINE

  • In order to combat climate change and to optimally protect the environment, the energy system needs a safe and sustainable transformation - within this development, hydrogen and it’s derivates (synthetic gases/ fuels) are promising energy carriers.
  • Our research team is working on sustainable and efficient technologies for the production of renewable energy as well as green hydrogen and it’s derivates to decarbonize the energy infrastructure, heavy industry and the mobility sector.

ENGAGE

  • As part of our Competence Unit Energy Conversion & Hydrogen (ECH)  you will work on the sustainable production of green hydrogen and its derivates from renewable electricity
  • You will develop materials such as novel OER and HER catalysts, device concepts, test set-ups or analytical methods for current and future electrolysis technologies such as PEM/ AEM or solid oxide.
  • You will conduct research on the latest state of the art and ensure that top-notch technologies are being developed in our projects.
  • You will develop and coordinate joint research topics with our strategic research and industry partners.
  • You will manage research projects and implement them according to the highest scientific standards. Naturally, this is combined with “dissemination activities“ like conference and journal publications.

ACHIEVE

  • You will successfully implement your solutions, methods and concepts in close cooperation with scientific and industry partners and contribute significantly to the extended use of hydrogen for the decarbonization of energy infrastructure, heavy industry and the mobility sector.
  • You will support industrial research partners and work in national and international projects.
  • You will actively contribute your knowledge to the research team and take over responsibility in projects and topics.

Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:

  • Completed studies (MSc or preferably PhD) in the field of chemistry, electrochemistry, chemical/ process engineering, materials science or similar fields
  • Experience in the synthesis and characterization of heterogeneous electro-catalysts and support materials
  • Knowledge in the field of chemical reaction engineering, especially on heterogeneous catalysis
  • Knowledge in acquisition of funded projects and project management is advantageous
  • High level of commitment and team spirit
  • Very good verbal and written English skills

What to expect:

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective agreement is 48.062,--. The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience. In addition, we offer company benefits, flexible working conditions, individual training and career opportunities.
