As Austria's largest research and technology organisation for applied research, we are dedicated to make substantial contributions to solving the major challenges of our time, climate change and digitisation. To achieve our goals, we rely on our specific research, development and technology competencies, which are the basis of our commitment to excellence in all areas. With our open culture of innovation and our motivated, international teams, we are working to position AIT as Austria's leading research institution at the highest international level and to make a positive contribution to the economy and society.
Our team, Recruiting & HR Development is enthusiastically supporting our scientific and administrative colleagues in finding new members for their teams, ensuring smooth onboarding processes, and developing their careers within AIT.
AIT is growing steadily, as such we continuously search for top researchers from around the world – starting with interns up to the level of senior researchers. Our recruiting projects are quite specific and often one-of-a-kind. Most of the time, we are looking for new colleagues for research topics, that address the forefront of technology development. Hence, we are looking for experts with knowledge and skills that may not yet exist “on the market”. We are now looking for another colleague to join our team in Vienna.

  • In each project, you will engage extensively with our scientific colleagues (hiring managers) to understand the specifics of their research fields and current and future research developments.
  • Based on this, you will design feasible search strategies (from untapping the researchers’ own or individual networks up to creating concepts for social media targeting campaigns).
  • Your core responsibility will be active and target group-oriented candidate search, the approach of potentially interested candidates from our own internal as well as from external applicant databases and of course through social networks.
  • Gradually, you will build up extensive knowledge needed to successfully recruit for our various research fields.

  • You will build up a unique AIT talent pool, that will allow you to proactively recommend candidates as soon as we receive a new recruiting project.
  • You motivate and educate our hiring managers in taking an active part in the recruitment process themselves.
  • You will have the opportunity to work on out-of-the-box search strategies without the pressure of hitting sales numbers.
  • You will have the opportunity to personally welcome the candidates you have sourced and will be able to observe how they develop within AIT – Last but not least, we will celebrate together our recruiting successes.

Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:
  • Successfully completed degree (STEM, business administration, psychology, engineering, marketing, or similar)
  • Experience in end-to-end-recruiting and independently setting up sourcing projects
  • Experience in sourcing through social media (LinkedIn, XING, Twitter, Google Image etc.), Chrome extensions, AI based recruitment tools (e.g. Seekout) and the necessary query techniques (Boolean search strings)
  • Strong affinity for technological developments and IT related topics
  • Ideally active sourcing certificates/trainings and strong motivation for ongoing professional education
  • Motivation and commitment to complete our unique search projects even when they are challenging
  • Being able to work independently, to proactively and efficiently manage your recruiting projects and at the same time enjoying working and communicating with others and being part of a small but dedicated team
  • Very good English skills absolutely necessary and good German skills

What to expect:
The minimum gross annual salary on a full-time basis (38,5 h / week) according to the collective agreement is EUR 47.166,--. The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience. In addition, we offer company benefits, flexible working conditions, individual training and career opportunities.
