Your Responsibilities

The Katsaros group studies spin qubits in two-dimensional Ge heterostructures and in parallel aims to understand whether protected qubits can be realized in hybrid semiconductor-superconductor systems. Currently we are looking for an engineer in order to support our group with developing novel devices and perform basic low temperature electrical measurements.

  • Develop spin qubit, Josephson junction and resonator based devices
  • Perform basic electrical characterization and microwave measurements
  • Take part in group meetings and provide solutions to everyday challenges

Your Profile

  • Degree (MSc/PhD) in nanodevices/spin qubits/superconducting circuits
  • Proven experience with nanofabrication (electron-beam lithography, electron beam evaporation, dry etching, atomic layer deposition, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy)
  • Knowledge of low temperature transport/microwave measurements
  • Basic knowledge of programming (preferentially python)
  • Basic knowledge of vacuum technology and cryogenics of advantage
  • Interest in participating in the everyday life of a low temperature physics lab
  • Excellent command of English (working language)
  • Proactive personality with attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently, learn quickly and multi-task
