Offer Description
We are looking for an outstandingly qualified and scientifically proven personality who can represent the field of "ESD and EMC aware IC and System Co-Design" in research and teaching with commitment.
The professorship should deal with basic and specialized areas of electronics and microelectronics in research and teaching. The application focus should be in the following areas:
- Electronic circuit design with particular focus on reliable and robust systems (analog, digital, mixed signal)
- Electromagnetic compatibility of electronic devices and systems with a focus on the joint optimization of systems, printed circuit boards and integrated circuits
- Characterization, modelling and co-design of ESD protection of devices
- Modelling, simulation, characterization of electronic components and their integration at system level
- Design of electronic devices and/or integrated circuits
- Characterization of the electromagnetic emission and the immunity of electronic devices and systems, as well as integrated circuits
Integration into the research priorities of the faculty and the Graz University of Technology is just as desirable as co-operation with national and international universities, research institutions and industry.
Willingness and experience in teaching and interdisciplinary cooperation as well as intensive supervision of students and active participation in academic affairs are expected.
The relocation of the centre of life (main residence) to the greater Graz area is a prerequisite.
PhD-level university education in disciplines relevant for the position.
- Outstanding academic qualifications in research and teaching for the position to be filled, proven by a relevant habilitation (venia docendi) or equivalent scientific achievements.
- Visible involvement in the international research community.
- Excellent, proven didactic skills.
- Experience in teaching at Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral level.
- Experience in the acquisition and management of third party funded projects.
- Leadership experience and the ability to lead a research team or research unit.
- Ability to work in a team and willingness to cooperate within and outside the university.
- Gender and diversity competences and knowledge of the special needs of people with disabilities.
- Curriculum vitae (incl. copies of degree certificates).
- Publication list with the 5 most important publications marked and these in full text.
- List of the most important research projects carried out or led.
- Research concept (3 pages max.) with a description of planned future activities.
- Teaching concept (2 pages max.) and student feedback from teaching evaluations or teaching certificates.
- Names and contact details of two references.
Adequate written and spoken German and English language skills are expected.
