Professor of Roman Law and Ancient Legal History

Updated: about 2 years ago
Job Type: FullTime
Deadline: 03 Feb 2022

Through the professorship of Roman Law and Ancient Legal History, subjects that communicate with many disciplines and represent synchronic and diachronic comparative law will be strengthened in the long term, both in research and in teaching. In particular, the professorship will address the jurisprudential penetration of social conditions, especially questions of law and gender. The professorship is involved in a vast research environment (“classics”, cultural anthropology of the ancient world, gender and diversity studies, history of law and religion, sociology, history of science) and should make an important contribution to the fields of excellence of the university as well as the university’s core research areas. Participation in university doctoral programmes and studies is expected. We also expect gender mainstreaming skills.
