Professor of Public Law, focus on “Procedural Justice”

to begin immediately.

The successful candidate is expected to represent the subject area of public law in Austria in the areas of teaching and research as well as the Faculty of Law’s focus on "Procedural Justice". Research in this area should focus on issues pertaining to the structure of procedural codes and procedural realities. In the area of education and in coordination with department chairs, the successful candidate is expected to actively take part in educating legal experts on-site, in-person (the Diploma degree program in Law, the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in Law, the Bachelor’s degree program in Business Law) and as part of the Multimedia Diploma degree program in Law. The successful candidate is also expected to assume responsibilities to independently managing administrative tasks.

The successful candidate should hold a post-doc/habilitation (or comparable academic qualifications) in the subject areas of constitutional law and administrative law. The selection criteria includes (a) quality and originality of research in the area of Austrian public law, particularly a research focus on the faculty’s area of "Procedural Justice", (b) corresponding experience teaching at a university, (c) corresponding lecture and presentation activities in academia, (d) professional experience in the field, and (e) active involvement in the scientific community.

An annual gross salary above the minimum amount of € 76,127.80 as stated in the collective agreement will be voluntarily offered.
