Offer Description

The advertised professorship is affiliated to the Centre of Pathobiology and will work in research and teaching with the existing team on comparative and functional veterinary immunology with particular focus on infectious and/or immune-mediated diseases in domestic and wild animals. According to the Development Plan of the Vetmeduni, the further development of interdisciplinary, translational research focuses is to be pursued, especially as the findings from research are essential for both animal and human health.

Specific Requirements

• Completed studies in veterinary medicine or human medicine or natural sciences

• Completed subject-related Doctorate / PhD or comparable scientific qualification

• Proof of interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral research activities in the relevant subject area

• Outstanding, relevant publication track record in line with the career level

• Proof of successful acquisition of third-party funded research projects as Principal Investigator (PI)

• Proven experience in the application of state-of-the-art methods in immunology and molecular biology

• Didactic qualification or experience in teaching, supervision, and training of undergraduate and graduate students

• Good command of English (level B2)
