The Department of Economics and Social Sciences, Institute of Forest, Environmental and Natural Resource Policy at BOKU University is currently seeking a Postgraduate Research Associate (temporary replacement).
Responsibilities
- Participation in and contributions to research at the institute with a focus on national and European forest and environmental policy
- Participation in relevant third-party funded projects subject to additional employment based on project funds
- Contribution to teaching in the frame of the institutes thematic fields up to 1.3 hours/semester
- Support of administrative tasks at the institute in research and teaching
Required skills and qualifications
- Diploma degree in forest sciences, environmental and biological resource management, political science or equivalent university degree
- Good knowledge of German and English
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications (word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and presentation programs)
- Serious interest in studying for a doctorate (dissertation) at the institute
- Team and communication skills
Desired skills and qualifications
- Interested in working in national and international research consortia
- Willingness to get involved in research projects at the institute
- Enjoy scientific work and knowledge transfer in teaching and specialist lectures
Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1, € 1.529,30
