Postgraduate Research Associate (temporary replacement) / Reference Code 11

The Department of Economics and Social Sciences, Institute of Forest, Environmental and Natural Resource Policy at BOKU University is currently seeking a Postgraduate Research Associate (temporary replacement).

Responsibilities

• Participation in and contributions to research at the institute with a focus on national and European forest and environmental policy
• Participation in relevant third-party funded projects subject to additional employment based on project funds
• Contribution to teaching in the frame of the institutes thematic fields up to 1.3 hours/semester
• Support of administrative tasks at the institute in research and teaching

Required skills and qualifications

• Diploma degree in forest sciences, environmental and biological resource management, political science or equivalent university degree
• Good knowledge of German and English
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications (word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and presentation programs)
• Serious interest in studying for a doctorate (dissertation) at the institute
• Team and communication skills

Desired skills and qualifications

• Interested in working in national and international research consortia
• Willingness to get involved in research projects at the institute
• Enjoy scientific work and knowledge transfer in teaching and specialist lectures

Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1, € 1.529,30
