Offer Description

The Department of Landscape, Spatial and Infrastructure Sciences, Institute of Geomatics is currently seeking a Postgraduate or Postdoctoral Research Associate (Senior Lecturer).

Extent of employment:         40 hours per week
Duration of employment:       as of now, limited to 28th of February 2025 (with an option for an indefinite extension)

Workplace: 1190 Vienna

Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1 lit. b € 4.752,30 (with a doctorate), B1, € 3.578,80 (without a doctorate)

Responsibilities:

• Teaching of basic and advanced courses in Surveying and Remote Sensing incl. exams
• (Co)supervision of BSc and MSc-thesis
• Assumption of administrative tasks within the framework of university self-administration
• Collaboration in projects in the field of surveying and remote sensing

Required skills and qualifications:

• Diploma degree in Geodesy or other equivalent university degree
• Language skills: German, English
• Sound knowledge in the field of surveying (incl. GNSS) and geoinformation

Desired skills and qualifications:

• Doctorate degree / PhD in Surveying, Photogrammetry or remote sensing
• Programming skills
• Experience in university teaching
