Offer Description

As Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of Chemistry of Functional Polymers you are performing research, and you are
responsible for the management of research projects. On the basis of successfully running projects, you will be able to
establish your own research group at PCCL.

Tasks:

  • Scientific work in the field of functional photopolymers, thermosets and vitrimers for various applications (e.g. reversible adhesives, additive manufacturing, biomedicine)
  • Management and coordination of research projects
  • Project acquisition (both contractual and funded research projects)
  • Supervision of young researchers
  • Cooperation with internationally recognised R&D groups, academic institutions, and industry
  • Dissemination of research results to the scientific community (peer-reviewed papers, oral presentations at conferences, press releases etc..)

Skills/Qualifications
  • PhD in Chemistry or Polymer Science and Engineering with an expert knowledge in polymer chemistry
  • Profound knowledge in organic chemistry, polymer photochemistry and/or thermosets is advantageous
  • Willingness to co-operate and communicate with academic and industrial partners
  • Independent and structured way of working
  • Personal initiative, skills for self-organization and teamwork, effective communication skills
  • Experience in applying for research projects
  • Excellent command in written and spoken English, basic skills in German are advantageous
