Degree in veterinary medicine with PhD or doctorate in the specialist area

Bacteriological and mycological investigation: safe handling of pathogens (at least under BSL2 conditions) and of demanding microorganisms (e.g., psychrophilic bacteria and yeasts, spore forming bacteria, mycobacteria, etc.) is required

Molecular biological investigation (in particular: multiplex qPCR, MALDI-TOF MS, sequencing): profound theoretical and practical subject-relevant expertise in the investigation of various complex matrices [e.g., feed, food of animal origin (milk, eggs, honey, fish, meat of wild animals and livestock, secretions, excretions) is being expected

Verifiable experience in developing and validating new methods

Proven expertise in scientific publishing (peer reviewed)

Extensive experience in teaching

Several years of experience in supervising postgraduates

Good German and English language skills (each at least level B2)
