In frame of the transdisciplinary project MicRisk 2030, a collaborative project of Vetmeduni Vienna, University of Zurich, ETH Zurich, and SUPSI, a Ph.D. position is available in the research group of Prof. Dr. Monika Ehling-Schulz. The successful candidate applies and adapts a toolbox of innovative methods, such as molecular, biochemical, and cell biology techniques as well as biomonitoring systems, to study the pathomechanisms of Bacillus cereus. The data from this Ph.D. project will contribute to exploring a new path for AI-based microbial risk assessment and management toward sustainable food systems. The MicRisk 230 project will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work in a transdisciplinary team and to join the project partner labs in Switzerland for an internship.
