One vacant position for full-time Senior Scientists at the Chair of of Materials Physics in the Department Materials Science - on a temporary employment contract lasting 1 years. Salary grade B1 according to the Uni-KV, monthly minimum salary excl. Szlg.: € 4.061,50 for 40 hours per week (14 x per year).

:

• Completed degree with technical/natural science based focus with Ph.D. in Materials Science with specialization on composite materials and coatings based on intermetallics of the Fe–Al system, as well detailed knowledge on the influence of temperature-kinetic parameters on the phase formation of Fe–Al powder mixtures and powder compaction through sintering.
• Very good English speaking and writing performance.
• Motivation, team spirit and independence.

Desired additional qualifications:

• Very good study results with completed Ph.D. degree
• Well-founded scientific knowledge in processing, characterization and properties of advanced materials, microstructure and properties, powder metallurgy, composite materials and coatings.
• Experience in university or non-university research.

Job profile:

• Cooperation in ongoing research on synthesis and characterization of high temperature materials and description of their deformation characteristics.
• Characterization of high-performance materials and collaboration with experimental colleagues.
• Evaluation and documentation of the results.
• Preparation of publications in international journals.
