1 position for a fully employed University Assistant at the Chair of Waste Processing Technology and Waste Management in the Department of Environmental and Energy Process Engineering at the beginning of December 2021 in a 4-year fixed-term employment contract. Salary grade B1 according to the Uni-KV, monthly minimum salary excl. Szlg.: € 2.971,50 for 40 hours per week (14 x per year), actual classification is according to previous relevant experience.
Educational requirements: University degree (Dipl.-Ing. or MSc) at Montanuniversitaet Leoben or another university with focus on environmental engineering, process engineering, polymer technology, mechatronics or an education equivalent to the requested qualification.
Additional requirements: Consolidated knowledge in the field of environmental and waste technology. Scientific support of research projects in connection with industrial environmental protection including the supervision of the area of sensor-based detection and sorting in waste management and environmental technology as well as special topics related to the recycling of plastics and the recyclability of products.
We expect from you: The development of third-party funded projects (contract / application research) and industrial cooperation; participation and support in teaching students, the assumption of administrative activities at the chair; excellent written and spoken English. The opportunity to work on a dissertation (PhD thesis) is given.
Requested soft skills: Interest in the supervision and execution of research projects in close cooperation with industrial partners. We expect teamwork and communication skills, initiative and responsibility as well as reliability in carrying out the department's own teaching and research.
