1 position for a fully employed University Assistant (m/f/d) at the Chair of Mechanical Engineering, Department Product Engineering at the earliest possible date in a 3-year term of employment. GGr. B1 to Uni-KV, monthly minimum charge excl. SZ.: € 3.058,60 for 40 hours per week (14 times a year), actual classification takes place according to accountable activity-specific previous experience.

Tasks:

• Development of the expertise in vibration analysis available at the institute
• Support/performance of machine dynamic and acoustic investigations for the detection of flaws, cracks, etc.
• Collaboration in an interdisciplinary research group (fatigue strength & tribology); support of teaching activities at the university
• Presentations and publications at home and abroad; project management

Requirements :

• Completed technical or scientific university studies (at master's level): Mechanical engineering, physics, mechatronics, etc.
• Motivation, ability for independent working and team work
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
• Willingness to write a dissertation

Desired additional qualifications :

• Knowledge in the field of scientific simulation technology preferably with focus on "machine dynamics and acoustics" and related experimental experience
• Relevant experience in the field of engineering/scientific research
• Very good computer skills
• Willingness to disseminate research results
• Willingness and motivation to participate in teaching
