One vacant position for a full-time Project Researcher (m/f/d) at the Chair of Energy Network Technology, in the Department of Environmental and Energy Process Engineering- Start from the earliest possible date in an employment contract limited to one year. 
Salary Group B1 according to the Uni-KV, monthly minimum salary excl. Szlg.: € 3.578,80 for 40 hours per week (14 x per year), actual classification is according to previous relevant experience.

Field of activity:
Geoinformation systems
GIS data management
Creation of maps and plans for infrastructures, especially energy networks
Implementation of GIS-based analyses

Administrative & scientific activities
Support in the acquisition, application and implementation of research projects
Independent writing of scientific studies

Data management
Further development of a database for energy-specific data
Writing queries in pgAdmin (SQL), Python and MATLAB
Supporting the EVT team in the use of the database

Employment requirements:
Completed studies (Master's degree in geography, environmental systems science or equivalent qualification)
Independent and proactive way of working
Excellent GIS knowledge (QGIS)
Knowledge of pgAdmin, Python and MATLAB
Good knowledge of German and English
Very good IT skills (MS Office)
Very good knowledge of German and English (written and spoken) 
Loyalty, flexibility, ability to work in a team, reliability
