Graduate Teaching Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master) for a Full-time, four-year position at the Department of Surface Science

Job Duties:

• The research topic in the frame of a PhD study concerns the preparation of molecular layers (in particular binary mixtures of organic molecules) on surfaces and the characterization of their structural, electronic and optical properties using scanning tunneling microscopy /STM), photoemission electron spectroscopy (PEEM) as well as surface optical spectroscopy.
• Participation in the teaching activities of the institute
• Assistance in the supervision of Bachelor and Master students

Your Qualifications:

• The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree in Physics or Chemistry
• Knowledge and expertise in Experimental Physics, preferably in the field of Surface Science
• very good command of English (level B2), German language skills not required
