Graduate Teaching Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree) for a 39-hour/week, temporary position (maternity leave replacement) at the Institute of Retail, Sales and Marketing

Job Duties:

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research on the interface of Marketing and Services/Retail Management.
  • Contribute to the development, management and implementation of academic and applied research projects
  • Contribute to the publishing of research of an internationally excellent quality
  • Contribute to the generation of research income
  • Contribute to demonstrating impact through research (e.g. informing industry/policy makers, promoting research through public engagement or the media, developing impact case studies)
  • Support the development, management and teaching of modules in the area of Marketing Management
  • Contribute to the supervision of bachelor's and master's theses
  • Engage in achieving excellence in teaching quality and student experience, in modules managed by the institute
  • Support academic leadership responsibilities, e.g. in research, programme development, internationalisation, accreditation or in other areas of importance to the institute
  • Contribute to the managing of relations with key stakeholder groups relevant to the institute, business school and university, e.g. business/industry leaders, public and non-governmental organisations, etc.

Your Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must hold a Master degree in Business Studies (major Marketing and/or Services/Retail Management), Psychology or Statistics from a renowned university
  • Excellent command of the German (level C1) and English languages (level B2)
  • Significant expertise in theories typically applied in the context of management and marketing
  • Significant expertise in qualitative and quantitative research and analysis methods typically applied in the context of management and marketing
  • Experience in working on research projects
  • Willingness to teach and research at the interface between Marketing and Services/Retail Management
  • Willingness to travel
  • Being located within an acceptable (commuting) distance of the Johannes Kepler University Linz
