Graduate Teaching Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master) for a 30-hour/week (part-time), four-year position at the Department of Many Particle Systems

Job Duties:

• Participation in teaching duties
• Participation in research projects
• Preparing and writing scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Independent scientific work on current problems in theoretical solid-state physics
• Developing ab-initio methods for calculations of static and dynamic properties of molecules on surfaces and at interfaces
• Developing ab-initio simulation programs for regular and nonregular non-collinear magnetic systems

Your Qualifications:

• Strong command of German and English (level B2+)
• The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree in theoretical physics
• Experience with quantum many-body theories, solid-state physics and magnetism
• Experience in teaching duties in theoretical physics
• Computer programming of numerical methods
