Graduate Teaching Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree) for a 20-hour/week, four-year position at the Institute of Polymer Sciences

Job Duties:
- Application of Raman spectroscopic methods for the investigation of bio-medical materials
- Support of instruments in the field of Raman spectroscopy
- Contribution to the setup of a surface-sensitive Raman spectrometer (TIR-Raman)
- Fabrication, characterization and testing of nanoparticles for SERS (surface enhanced Raman Spectroscopy) on bio-medical materials
- Assistance in the conduction of practical courses and exercises in the field of physical chemistry
- Assistance with supervision of bachelor’s and master’s theses
Your Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree in natural sciences (chemistry, physics) or technology with focus on materials science or bio-medicine
- Knowledge in the field of high-resolution Raman spectroscopic of biomedical materials is required
- Basic knowledge in the production and characterisation of nanoparticles for SERS is welcome
- Basic knowledge in sample preparation of biological samples by ultramicrotomy is welcome
- Experience in lab assistance
- Confident knowledge of oral and written German and English (German level C1, English level B2)
