We advertise the position of a Full Professor for Artifical Intelligence in Radiological Imaging, a fulltime appointment, initially limited to a period of 5 years; employment on a permanent basis is possible following positive evaluation.

The holder of the position is expected to represent the field of Artifical Intelligence in Radiological Imaging in teaching and research. Concerning both areas, cooperations with the other departments of the University are explicitly requested. We are looking for an internationally renowned candidate with a strong expertise in the field - particularly with regard to research concerning methodology development for the processing and analysis of radiological imaging data by means of Artificial Intelligence.

The candidate´s expertise and scientific focus should therefor entail state up to date  AI methods for the automatic analysis of MRT, CT of DSA images applied for research on diverse diseases as well their application within the field of Precision Medicine including radiomic approaches.

Employment requirements:

  • MD or PhD with a degree relevant to the subject or a comparable tertiary level education corresponding to the profile of the position (technical studies, natural sciences and/or human medicine)
  • teaching experience
  • experience and expertise in machine learning and radiological imaging
  • commitment to engage in the academic development of the curricula
  • several years of experience in interdisciplinary cooperations of Computer Sciences/Mathematics and Medicine
  • a strong relevant publication record
  • experience in cooperating with multidisciplinary teams
  • experience concerning the development and conduct of innovative trials within the main research fields of the University
  • proof of successful and constant acquisition of competitive third-party funding
  • leadership and management skills
