At the Faculty of Philosophy and Education, the University of Vienna seeks to appoint a University Professor of Psychoanalysis and Education (full time, limited to a period of 3 years, to fill as soon as possible)
The position:
The successful candidate will head the research unit of Psychoanalysis and Education. They will have expertise in psychoanalytically based educational research on individual, institutional and social processes.
Experience with a psychoanalytic-psychodynamic approach to educational topics as well as experience with the application of various research methods is expected. In addition, knowledge of the Austrian framework conditions and infrastructure for psychoanalytically oriented fields of activity and the willingness to familiarize oneself with these is expected.

- Doctoral degree/PhD
- Outstanding research achievements, excellent publications, success in obtaining third-party funding, international reputation
- Proven leadership qualities
- Gender and diversity competence
- Experience in designing and managing large research projects
- Enthusiasm for excellent teaching and supervision at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral level
- Willingness to take on organisational and administrative responsibilities within the Faculty and/or the University
