Vacancy Assistant Professor - career track (40 hours / week) The Institute of Sports Science at the University of Innsbruck seeks applicants for the position of university assistant – at the level of Postdoc/Assistant Professor. The position is comparable to a tenure track position: it is initially offered for a duration of 6 years, but can be converted into a permanent position at the Assoz.Prof. level after a successful evaluation.    Main tasks: • Sports science research in the field of training sciences with a research focus on coordination training (inclusive balance training), technique training or strength training and with knowledge in intervention-based injury prevention programs. • Research-guided teaching in the field of sports science incl. preparation and follow-up as well as examination work. • Supervision of students including mentoring of bachelor / master theses. • Collaboration in the supervision of doctoral, master and diploma students. • Collaboration on organizational and administrative tasks.   Required qualification: §  Required qualification: Ph.D. or M.D. in Sports Science, Kinesiology, Human Movement Science or a related field. §  Postdoctoral research experience. §  Research experience in the field of coordination training (inclusive balance training), technique training and strength training or injury prevention §  Previous experience with university-level teaching and administrative service. §  Promising publication record and experience with grant writing. §  Excellent problem solving ability. §  Mobility experience §  Team and communication skills §  German language skills (min. B2 level or willingness to acquire them in 3 years) §  Social skills.   The application must be accompanied by: • Cover Letter. • Curriculum Vitae. • Presentation of the research achievements and future research objectives including the description of a research project at habilitation level. • Statement of teaching philosophy and a teaching proposal.
