Job profile:
Assistant Professor - Tenure Track (40 hours per week), Department of Structural Engineering and Material Sciences, Unit of Energy Efficient Building, as soon as possible; main tasks: research in the field of building-system technologies for heating and cooling with renewable energies, project acquisition, proposal writing and project management, lectures in the field of basics in building physics, thermodynamics, thermo fluid dynamics, modelling and simulation of buildings, building and HVAC simulation, building services, heat pumps and renewable energies; co-supervision of bachelor, master and PhD theses (after habilitation full supervision); assistance in the administration of the unit, employee management. Required qualifications: Master degree and doctorate (PhD) in the field civil engineering, building services, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, energy or chemical engineering, sustainable energy systems, or equivalent; excellent knowledge in the fields thermal energy components and systems in buildings, building physics, thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, hygro-thermal simulation, renewable energy and thermal storage; experience in
coupled building and HVAC system and component simulation, programming simulation models; experience in applied research of real HVAC systems in operation as well as in experimental laboratory research; research and development experience in the above topics; post-doc scientific achievements and publications in international scientific journals; national and international networks in research and industry; post-doc experience or relevant working experience; several years of experience in project work (ideally own acquisition and lead); teaching experience; proven ability to teach in German and English language; mobility experience during or after master level; the application has to include a research proposal on habilitation level and a teaching concept; team spirit, pleasure in teaching and supervising students; leadership, social skills
