Job profile:

In this position you will have the opportunity to carry out high level research and to specialise in a particular field. You will hold your own lectures, tutor students and participate in administration. During the first year of employment it is possible to conclude a 'qualification agreement' which is the core part of a University career position. If the terms of the qualification agreement are fullfilled it will lead to a continuous career at the University, resulting in the position of a Associate Professor and a permanent employment.


Main tasks:
  • independent research and teaching in Austrian labour law and social law
  • participation in organizational and administrative tasks

Necessary qualifications:
  • degree (Ph.D.) in law
  • in-depth specialist knowledge of Austrian labour law and social law
  • relevant scientific achievements beyond the dissertation
  • experience in university teaching in labour law and social law; presentation of teaching evaluations is desirable
  • description of a research project at habilitation level
  • presentation of a teaching concept
  • excellent knowledge of the German language (C2)
  • several months of professional experience after completing the dissertation are desirable
  • relevant postdoctoral mobility experience (especially research, consulting or teaching) is desirable
  • experience in participation in third-party funding (acquisition, management) is desirable
  • knowledge of relevant European law is desirable
  • higher education didactic training is desirable
  • social skills (ability to work in a team and communication skills when dealing with employees and students)
