Job profile:

University Assistant - Postdoc (40 hours/week), Institute for Teacher Education and School Research Start: Immediate effect. Main tasks: Independent and cooperative research in the fields of empirical (qualitative and quantitative) educational research, empirical research methodology in the field of formal education as well as empirically based model and theory building in the context of formal education; collaboration in and co-development of the research group, Diagnostics and Educational Research. Conception and implementation of a habilitation project within the context of individual emphasis and the afore mentioned areas; high-quality research-guided teaching in the educational science modules of the secondary general education teaching programme (BA and MA); supervision of students and participation in the supervision of final theses; participation in organisational and administrative tasks at the Institute for Teacher Education and School Research, at the Faculty of Teacher Education and in the teaching networks of the University of Innsbruck. Required qualifications: successful completion of doctoral studies; with a focus on empirical research in educational science, preferably taking into account methodological-scientific aspects or concrete questions of data-based quality development in formal education; excellent knowledge of empirical educational research as well as relevant academic achievements beyond the dissertation or PhD in the field of the position (e.g. Contributions to large-scale assessments, e.g. directly related to PISA/PIRLS/TIMSS); extensive experience in university teaching in relevant fields (educational science, methods and methodology of educational research); experience in the independent supervision of academic qualification theses; relevant professional and post-doctoral experience; proven successful activities in the acquisition and implementation of third-party funding projects; mobility experience; experience with the development and quality assurance of curricula and with leadership tasks are desirable; German language skills: C1 level according to CEFR; English proficiency: C1; relevant IT skills. Ability to cooperate and work in a team; description of a research project at habilitation level; submission of a teaching concept; ability to work under pressure at peak times.
