The Yiaga-yagila Indigenous Undergraduate Scholarship is generously supported by Brand Architects to provide financial support and encourage Indigenous Australian students to pursue undergraduate studies in the field of design.

The financial support from my scholarship allows me to work less, focus more on my studies, and contribute through the Access Monash mentoring program. It has also connected me with a scholarship donor who worked in my field, and is now a great mentor to me as I work out where I want to end up and how to navigate the challenges of studying an Engineering degree.
Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:
- An Indigenous Australian
You must meet the following criteria:
- Commencing or current student, enrolled in or intending to enrol in an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at a Monash campus in Australia.
- From one or more of Monash University's defined educational disadvantage categories .
**To be eligible you must provide a Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Heritage certificate or a certified Statutory Declaration form to the William Cooper Institute. Benefits
- $6000 per annum (48 credit points of study) for the duration of your degree.

Selection criteria
- Awarded based on need.
- Preference to be given to students studying the Bachelor of Architectural Design.
To retain this scholarship:
- You must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60 each semester.
How to apply
- VTAC applicants - If you think you might be eligible for an equity scholarship, ensure that you apply for the Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) through VTAC between Monday 31 July (9am) and Friday 6 October (5pm) to be automatically considered.
- For current Monash students, apply directly to Monash
- This scholarship cannot be deferred.
