• Base Salary $91,644 to $98,796 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

We are looking for an outstanding individual who is passionate about education and supporting students throughout their university journey.

As a Wellbeing Engagement Advisor, you will be responsible for providing specialised wellbeing services and case management to students at the University. You will use evidence-based, best practice strategies to deliver timely, accessible, and high-quality services.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• work within a tight-knit team, reporting to the Manager, Student Wellbeing Engagement

• facilitate the intake, screening, monitoring, and assessment of the wellbeing and support needs for students

• develop and deliver support, and interventions with the goal of improving the student experience

• provide triage and crisis intervention including liaison with internal and external service providers

• proactively contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve the student experience

• actively contribute to and promote a safe environment where all people are valued and respected.

About you

If you are someone who enjoys supporting others and working with youth/in the mental health field, you will thrive in this position.

• Relevant and applicable tertiary qualifications, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience

• an understanding of the student experience and its relationship to student service delivery

• demonstrated experience in responding to individuals presenting in crisis and/or incident management

• ability to facilitate engagement with students and stakeholders and delivery of programs

• proven understanding of early intervention strategies

• Mandarin, Hindi, Arabic, Vietnamese, Indonesian and/or Korean language skills are desirable but not a requirement for the role.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. For a continuing position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident. Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
